Weddings

The gentle, romantic music of a harp or flute can enhance your special day, whether it be a religious or civil wedding, various genres are available. Please remember it is not permitted to use religious music at a Civil wedding and to also talk to the Vicar or registrar before confirming your Harp/Flute/Caelestis booking.

The Harp/Flute can be used in various parts of the ceremony, the most popular being the signing of the register as this often takes quite a few minutes. Sometimes the harp can be played 20 minutes before the ceremony begins, as background music as the guests arrive and settle, or in the past Carys has played processional music as the bride enters the church.

At your reception the harp comes into its own by creating a beautiful tranquil ambience whilst your guests converse easily.

When playing the harp Carys will need to arrive approx 40 minutes before the service or function as the Harp is large, heavy and unwieldy and it will require tuning before playing. She will also need a chair and a flat surface.

If your church no longer has a choir, ‘Caelestis’ can provide beautiful four part harmony singing for your special day. Please look at our repertoire or we are open to requests if we can find the music and are given twelve weeks notice.
